During her keynote address at CSTA 2019, Dr. Joanna Goode announced the launch of CSTA's Equity Fellowship Program. This fellowship is a selective, year-long program designed to develop leadership inequitable teaching practices and advocacy.
We seek to assemble a diverse group of K-12 CS educators who have:
Demonstrable success in disrupting the disparities impacting females, underrepresented students of colour, English language learners, and students with special needs
The desire for deeper knowledge, skills, experience, and network to develop as a teacher leader
Interest in collaborating with a diverse, highly skilled cohort of like-minded leaders to have a broader impact
Approximately 10 fellows will be selected through a competitive application process. Fellows will receive a $2,000 stipend, professional learning opportunities, support in implementing professional development and equity-focused projects, paid trips to conferences and convenings and prominent recognition from CSTA.
