**Fall 2021**
Do you have students looking to get involved in programming as an extra-curricular outside of the school?
Schulich Ignite is a club at the University of Calgary that offers free coding workshops to students in grades 10-12.

As COVID has brought many extra-curricular activities to a halt, we wanted to present students the opportunity to learn a new skill and meet new people from the comfort of their own homes. We are currently offering free beginner and advanced coding workshops, starting in October. All sessions will be held online.

Here’s a little bit more information about us:
Schulich Ignite's mission is to ignite a passion for coding in youth by presenting it to them in a fun and interactive environment. Through our program, students get a chance to explore programming, develop their technical skills and make connections with industry members. Schulich Ignite also provides students who are looking to pursue a wide range of degrees with insight into how they may use programming in their future learning.

Here is a short 1 minute video outlining our workshops as well: https://youtu.be/L3TXTqKXAxY

Our goal is to inspire as many students as possible, and therefore we would greatly appreciate it if you could spread the word about our program to your students! A promotional graphic is also attached for your use.

Students can sign up for the program by filling out the form with the following link: https://forms.gle/iPgr9HUqbQVDqCtw7

We are also currently conducting a survey to help us better focus our outreach efforts. If you would be able to share this with your students as well, that would be much appreciated! The survey can be found here:  https://forms.gle/33X5Us5apsCeqbFAA
